Gorgeous Goat Creamery Farmer’s Market Staff

Role: Part-time farmer’s market sales, 8-16 hours per week on 1-2 weekend days, possible additional 4 hours per week on Friday afternoons for wholesale deliveries.

Gorgeous Goat Creamery is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about local food and agriculture to represent Gorgeous Goat Creamery and conduct farmer’s market sales on behalf of the farm.

Start date April 27, 2024 for training; May 4 or 5 for farmer’s market sales.

Who we are:

Gorgeous Goat Creamery is a family-owned and operated, seasonal goat dairy in western New Jersey, nestled on 17 acres of hardwood forest and pasture.  We produce goat cheese, bottled goat’s milk, goat’s milk yogurt, and handmade soap on the farm, all made from the milk produced by our herd of Alpine goats.  We enable consumers to enjoy fresh, local, delicious, and nutritious goat dairy products. Our handmade soaps offer gentle cleansing with natural moisturizing properties, which specifically addresses the needs of consumers with sensitive skin or with skin conditions. Our mission is to nourish the community with a side of laughter and learning.

What’s great about this job:

The green Gorgeous Goat Creamery tent is one of the busiest at the market.  We have kind and caring customers who are excited to purchase delicious dairy products and nourishing body care products at the market.  We offer products that change lives, and our customer will share their transformative experiences with you when they shop.

You’ll sell milk to a family that has been drinking plant milk due to their child’s food sensitivity. The parents are so happy their child can enjoy goat milk that tastes great AND doesn’t make them sick.

You’ll sell cheese to the self-proclaimed “goat cheese hater,” who hates goat cheese, except for ours. Now they can’t manage a week without our cheese.

You’ll sell soaps and lotion to someone with eczema (a skin condition) who has finally found a product that relieves their discomfort.  Our soap doesn’t irritate their skin.

You’ll sample cheese and milk to people who exclaim, “wow! I never knew it tasted so good.”

You’ll meet the staunch supports of our local farms, who demonstrate their values with their purchasing decisions, who appreciate the hard work that goes into bringing fresh food to the community.

Our customers are amazing, and its a special opportunity to serve them. We sell out of dairy products nearly every week, which is a testament to our products and our customers.

You can also mingle with the goats when you return from the market.  The goats are always up for a good head scratch or rump scratch.
